We’ve seen quite a shift in our business in the past few weeks at Smokers Heaven smoke and vape shop. While we haven’t been seeing quite as much traffic as usual in our store, we have been seeing our customers buy more and stock up much more than usual and we will continue to make sure that we have what they want so they can avoid any unnecessary trips out and stay home so we can get past this odd time in Kansas City. Our shop at 101st and Wornall in Kansas City will continue to operate during our normal business hours but we’re continually taking steps to keep our store clean and our staff and customers safe.

We are using the recommendations put forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) in our daily operations for our staff and we recommend that our customers do the same. Here’s what we are doing to keep our staff and customers safe as well as our smoke and vape shop clean and disinfected:

We are still open for business during our normal business hours and so far we haven’t had any issues with making sure everything our regular customers want is in stock. We are actively using the recommendations put forth by the World Health Organization (WHO) in our store’s daily operations and we recommend you do the same.

Here’s what we’re doing to make sure that our store, staff and most importantly our customers are safe from spreading the virus:

  1. Hands: Our staff is washing their hand and using hand sanitizer often. We know that practicing good hand hygiene is imperative to curbing the spread of the virus and our staff is dedicated to helping do so in any way that they can.
  2. Elbow: If our staff should have to cough, they will do into their elbows. Most medical experts believe the virus is spread through the respiratory systems and we want to make sure our customers are safe. We ask that they do the same in our shop.
  3. Face: We’ve instructed our staff to avoid touching their face. While is seems like an easy task, we all tend to touch our faces more than we likely ever realized before the past few weeks.
  4. Feet: We’ve asked our staff to stay 3 feet away from our customers. This is a bit tricky as we are a retail store but it’s certainly not impossible if we keep our minds on it. That means our staff won’t be giving hand shakes, fist bumps or coming in contact with any of our customers like we sometime would with our regulars.
  5. Feel: It’s a bad time of the year for the virus to be a crisis because spring allergies are in the air, the regular flu is still around and the constant up and down temperatures certainly don’t help. Nevertheless, we’ve instructed our staff to call in if they feel even the slightest bit ill. We respectfully ask the same of our customers as there is nothing that we sell that is worth yours or someone else’s health or life.

We’d love to say that it’s business as usual at Smokers Heaven smoke, vape and tobacco shop but it is not and while we continue to remain open and keep our shelves stocked with what our customers want, we will not compromise the health and safety of our customers and staff. We ask that our customers please do the same which means stay at home if you don’t feel well and come by sometime in the future. We appreciate the continued support of our customers and urge them to help support other local Kansas City businesses as well. We’ll be open from 9 am to 9 pm Sunday through Thursday and 7 am to 10 pm on Friday and Saturday at 101st and Wornall Road right across from QuikTrip in Kansas City. Stay safe, wash your hands and see you soon!
